Gaming, Racing & Wagering Australia (GRWA) makes its return to the Sydney expo and convention scene 14-16 August 2017, at the Novotel Hotel at Darling Harbour. The event runs simultaneously too and just across the street from the Australasian Gaming Expo being held at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney).

Delegates in attendance will include Gaming Consultants; Gaming and Racing Operators; Hotel, Pub, and Club Operators; Legal Consultants; Manufacturers & Gaming Suppliers; Gaming Regulators & Governmental Authorities, and more. GRWA presents a unique opportunity for anyone in the gaming industry in the Asia Pacific region. The summit will provide information from a diverse mix of industry representatives, regulators, and academics.

After a successful show in 2016, the 7th Annual Gaming, Racing and Wagering Australia (GRWA) will cover a litany of industry changing events that occurred over the last year as well as help participants get up to date on current happenings and chart the future for what is to come.

Participants will learn about regulatory updates, focus in on the latest trends and get updates on key international markets, gain insights on emerging channels like eSports and the continual climb of mobile gaming and betting, examine ways to diversify with an eye toward attracting the next generation of customers, and be exposed to new technology, software solutions, and payment processing innovators.

Over 150 senior executives from Australia’s gaming industry attend the event each year. There are two dozen speakers scheduled to present their in-depth and seasoned knowledge of the Australian industry. The speakers represent every facet of the business. Delegates from Gambling Compliance, UBS Analytics, the Queensland government, Asian casino developers, cyber crime preventions services, the eSports association, media publications, and mobile gaming app providers will be on hand to share their knowledge and answer questions.

The event will open with a pre-conference workshop Monday 14 August with a focus on how to activate eSports in order to target millenials. The two-part workshop will focus first on the eSports tournament production cycle covering everything from planning to to tech requiremtns. The second part will reveal marketing strategies developed to attract a new generation to betting sites through eSports.

Day 1 of the conference is billed as Casino, Clubs, and Gaming Day and begins with a regulatory update followed by a panel discussion on opportunities and challenges facing Casinos and Clubs. AML compliance is up next followed by another panel discussion covering how to stay attractive in the Asian market in light of Japan’s casino bill. Other issues to be covered include potential customers from China, the evolution of Asian gamblers, and how to capture, maintain, and grow a VIP gambler base.

The afternoon of day one will see customer engagement, innovation and new policies; Mobile gaming integration into existing land-based operatoins; new tech, AI, and big data; VR gaming, and a renewed focus on eSports and their impact on the industry.
